Australian team captures 'Yowie' footage

Two researchers recorded a creature on video that is now being referred to as 'The Morning Visitor'.

Jason Heal and Jason Dunn filmed the creature in South Queensland at the end of March and believe that their footage constitutes evidence that a large bipedal hominid is stalking the wilds of Australia.

The men set up the camera and used a stack of apples as bait to lure the creature in. The resulting footage shows what appears to be the head of a large ape-like animal with glowing eyes as it feasts on the snack behind the foliage.

"We'd been throwing him a few extra apples since he was willing to appear on camera," said Heal. "I'm somebody who believes in appreciation in life and if he's showing himself, we appreciate the fact."

The footage has been met with an understandable degree of skepticism since appearing online with critics arguing that the 'Yowie' could in fact be little more than someone wearing a mask.

Paranormal Investigators Capture “Impressive Evidence” of Spooks in Ohio Historical Museum

According to a group of paranormal investigators from Ohio, ghosts are haunting a local museum, and the spooky evidence left behind has been enough to convince museum employees that they aren’t alone.

On Saturday, the Wayne County Historical Museum hosted the annual Spirit Academy & Paranormal Investigation, an event during which attendees are welcomed to hone their ghost hunting skills while chasing down phantoms in the reportedly haunted location. How successful were they? If the evidence captured by Spirit Paranormal is to be believed, very.

“In addition to some terrific experiences, there are already two photos that reveal some interesting – haunting – evidence,” the museum staff wrote. “The first photo shows a person sitting in the old hearse in our carriage barn. The second photo shows what appears to be a young person at the back corner of the Wayne County School Hack.”

A glimpse at the first image shows what certainly appears to be the visage of a stern looking woman glaring at the camera from the cabin of the hearse carriage, a sight sure to give even the most seasoned ghost hunters the creeps.

Spirit Paranormal also posted a number of EVPs captured during their investigation, recordings that they claim contain the voices of the dead reacting intelligently to their questions. Investigator Tim Poyner claims that just seconds just after ghost hunters ask the spirits to straighten out a pair of divining rods, that they received a ghostly response whispering “OK”.

And if you thought those captures just weren’t creepy enough, the team would like you to take a look at the crown jewel of last year’s hunt, an even clearer image of what Tim Poyner believes is the same spirit captured in the hearse last week:

Do any of these anomalies prove the existence of life after death? Hardly, but you can’t deny that they’re intriguing. Here’s hoping next year’s outing yields an even higher quota of weird.

AMAZING FOOTAGE: Amateur Astronomer Captures UFO Explosion

You have to love living in the digital age of smartphones.. there’s never an excuse to not take a picture of something seemingly incredible, even if you’re pointing the lens into a telescope.

A Sacramento man did just that when he noticed a strange object floating in the sky. Accompanying it was a much smaller, much faster object. Cody Prychodzk, an amateur astronomer, whipped out his smartphone, and decided to capture the sight while it was still there.

“I saw something that I’d never seen before. I saw another object orbiting this — whatever it was up there, and I’ve never seen anything like that before,” Prychodzk told CBS13 News.

After shooting the first clip and phoning his nephew, Cody went back to shoot some more.. only to find a seemingly massive explosion instead.

“Oh my God, it just blew up. Something blew up,” he stammers.

When shown the video, Dr. Stephen P Maran, author of Astronomy for Dummies, could only say that ”it is not an astronomical event,” leaving us to ponder what in the world (or somewhere else..) we could actually be seeing. A UFO on a collision course? Light fractals dancing on a lens? Or maybe just a galactic piñata party?

New allegations have been released to the media suggesting that Malaysian officials still haven't come clean regarding what they know about the disappearance of Flight 370. Now a month later, new information has surfaced to suggest the plane may have been hijacked. Meanwhile, recovery ships zero in on a possible black box homing beacon.

A new report has been released that claims Malaysia Airlines 370 flew around the northern end of Indonesia, to skirt military radar. If true then why hasn't the information been released sooner? More importantly, the information suggests the plane was in controlled flight long after it deviated from course, increasing the likelihood that it was hijacked. 

An anonymous email received by the Daily Mail claims the plane was hijacked and pilots were told to circle around Indonesian airspace as officials negotiated with hijackers.  The email claims the hijackers were demanding the release of Malaysian opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim within five hours or the plane would be destroyed. 

It is possible the Malaysian government could have kept this information from outsiders to avoid embarrassment. 

So far, the reports haven't been confirmed and because the email was sent anonymously, it is impossible to verify. However, it does explain why Malaysian authorities took so long to admit the flight was missing and mount a search. 

It also rules out the possibility of a cabin fire or other accident what may have caused the pilot to deviate course. 

Still, this remains just a rumor until further evidence comes to light, and presently there are plenty of rumors and theories. 

Meanwhile, recovery ships and aircraft are moving into the area where the lost flight is expected to be, possibly some two miles beneath the ocean's surface. Over the weekend, both Chinese and Australian search vessels detected pings that are likely emitted by the aircraft's black box and missing flight data recorder. 

The Australian vessel, Ocean Shield is equipped with a submersible vehicle that can map the seafloor if they are able to home in on the signal. However, if the signal is authentic then it will have to be triangulated, that is detected from different directions to determine a probable location. 

Time is of the essence. After today, there is no guarantee that the black box and flight data recorder will continue to emit pings as their batteries are only guaranteed for 30 days. According to the airline, the particular batteries on Malaysia Air 370 were due for replacement in June.

The next 24-48 hours should be telling. If nothing further is learned or recovered in the next two days, then it is likely the search will continue indefinitely, or will be scaled back because of expense. And without the hope of detecting a locator beacon, there is no point in maintaining a robust search fleet out at sea. 

So far a number of promising debris finds have turned out to be just trash.

Curiosity captured unidentified light source on Mars

NASA published on their site an interesting image taken by Mars Rover Curiosity of a strange unidentified light which points directly up from the ground.

It may be a camera error or natural phenomenon, or is it something supernatural.

The beam of light is not on any other image.

US Coastguard Report on UFO Sighting: Looking Back at the Lake Erie Encounters

From the 1980s through to today, sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have been reported near Lake Erie, on both the Canadian and the American sides.

A 1988 U.S. Coast Guard report describes the objects: “These objects had red, green, white, and yellow lights on them that strobed intermittently. They also had the ability to stop and hover in mid-flight.” (Read the full report below)

It describes a larger object with smaller objects flying out from it. “The smaller objects began hovering in the area where the large object landed and after a few minutes they began flying around again,” the report states.

The objects caused a rumbling on the ice as they landed.

This sighting was never explained, according to a 2008 History Channel special on the Lake Erie sightings.

 The History Channel investigators found these sightings particularly intriguing, because the 60-mile span of the lake makes it unlikely that people were just spotting lights on the other side. Also, a nuclear plant nearby makes the area a no-fly zone. If normal aircraft were flying over, they would be violating regulations.

The flight restrictions around nuclear plants have only been in place since 2001, so this reasoning does not apply to earlier sightings.
