Cloud Orb Caught Up Close In Calgary, Canada June 20, 2014

Date of sighting: June 20, 2014
Location of sighting: Calgary, Canada

This is an intriguing UFO. It partly cloaks several times in the video. Do not assume that its changing shape. Big misconception. Its just the cloak activates when their is a blue background. Notice the photo below, the UFO is in a white cloud, however the top 20% of the UFO is missing and there is a partial blue background on that part. Cloud orbs cloak like this when seen up close. Cool sighting.

Eyewitness states:
I trimmed the footage to just show the orb, others that were rimed were fiddling with the camera before the shot.

Did a Giant Squid Kill Shark Alpha?

What killed Shark Alpha? The in-the-box explanation is that a larger great white shark did it, but a more exotic explanation would be more interesting and may turn out to have the added benefit of being true. The three most common exotic explanations are that a megalodon did it, or a killer whale, or a giant or colossal squid.
My colleague Brent Swancer has already addressed the popular theory that a megalodon did it. I don’t think it’s plausible that a killer whale did it, since killer whales typically have an internal body temperature similar to that of humans and the culprit we’re looking for had a much lower internal body temperature of 78°F. That leaves giant and colossal squids. They’re certainly big and carnivorous enough, and—since they have only been recently discovered, after millennia of being a tall tale—they represent everything we don’t know about the ocean. The noted marine biologist, inventor, and conservationist Edith Widder helped capture the first footage of a giant squid eating dinner, and what she had to say about it has some interesting implications:
“Had this animal had its feeding tentacles intact and fully extended, it would have been as tall as a two-story house. How could something that big live in our ocean and yet remain unfilmed until now? We’ve only explored about 5 percent of our ocean; there are great discoveries yet to be made down there, fantastic creatures representing millions of years of evolution and possibly bioactive compounds that could benefit us in ways that we couldn’t yet imagine.”
But as large and as fascinating as these creatures are, there are three good reasons to believe a squid wasn’t responsible for Shark Alpha’s death.
The first is that squids are cold-blooded. There’s no reason to believe that any known species of squid would have a 78°F body temperature in 46°F water.
The second is depth. This predator hunted only a few hundred feet below the surface of the water, then dragged its prey 1,900 feet deep. Squid typically hunt much deeper; giant squid seldom surface less than 1,000 feet deep, and colossal squid are typically found a mile or more underwater.
The third is that this just isn’t how squids typically hunt. Citing squids’ slow metabolism, an international team of marine biologists explained in one 2010 article:
“We argue that the colossal squid is not a voracious predator capable of high-speed predator–prey interactions … It is, rather, an ambush or sit-and-float predator that uses the hooks on its arms and tentacles to ensnare prey that unwittingly approach.”
The prospect that a giant or colossal squid would surface to only a few hundred feet below the water, hook a nine-foot great white shark, yank it 1,900 feet deep, consume it, and then keep it in its belly at 78°F just doesn’t align with anything we know about squid behavior or physiology. If our killer is anything like a squid, it’s an undiscovered species with an unexplored evolutionary history.

Angels help man who was crushed by 10,000 lbs truck axle fall - Bruce Van Natta (CBN)

Bruce Van Natta had an injury that 10,000 lbs truck axle fell on him. He saw two angels was holding him at that moment. He had 5 major arteries severed and he was not expected to live more than a few hours. However, God healed him miraculously.

The true story of The Greenbrier Ghost

The “Greenbrier Ghost” was Elva Zona Heaster-Shue, a local woman who was found dead on January 23, 1897. The coroner listed the cause of her death as “everlasting faint” and then as “childbirth.” Elva knew differently — and for four nights her ghost appeared at the foot of her mother’s bed, telling her that she had in fact been strangled in a fit of rage by her blacksmith husband.
Mom, finally convinced (or just tired), went to the local prosecutor with the story. The prosecutor had Elva dug up and, sure enough, she had a broken neck and crushed windpipe. Edward (Mr. Elva) was tried, convicted, and shipped to the West Virginia State Penitentiary, where murderers of women don’t expect to live long, and he didn’t.
The historical marker notes that this was the “Only known case in which testimony from a ghost helped convict a murderer.” We agree that history must have been made here. Elva is buried nearby, but the marker — probably made in the West Virginia State Penitentiary — is what you want to see.

Morgan Freeman: 'We May Already Be In The Midst Of A Growing Zombie Apocalypse'

Zombies are the stuff of nightmares, books, movies and television shows. Try as we may, it's almost impossible to kill them -- the zombies, that is.
The idea that humans can be transformed into mindless, cannibalistic monsters isn't so far-fetched, according to current research in which scientists have discovered pathogens that can turn even insects into the walking dead.
"We may already be in the midst of a growing zombie apocalypse. What is a zombie? A zombie is a creature that's controlled outside of its own mind and really not controlled by itself, as if under the power of some other force," Morgan Freeman, host of Science Channel's "Through the Wormhole" series, told The Huffington Post.
The latest episode of "Wormhole" examines how new strains of viruses attack humans every day and explores the odds against surviving a zombie virus outbreak.
Medical consequences aside, Freeman told HuffPost why he thinks we're so fascinated with the idea of the walking dead.
"I think, basically, it all stems from our desire for immortality -- the idea that there is some way to come back from the grave," he said.
Even the smallest of creatures -- ants, for example -- can transform into zombies, according to current research discussed on "Wormhole."
"There's a fungus that takes over the brain of an ant and forces it to do things it wouldn't ever want to do -- like climb to the top of a tree and clamp onto a leaf with its jaw, where it dies, and then the fungus grows out of its head and rains spores down onto its family," said "Wormhole" supervising producer Megan Parlen.
HuffPost asked Freeman if he thinks the international fixation on zombies might have anything to do with the nightmares we all share.
morganfreemanwormhole
"There is no way to say no to that," Freeman said. "You may have nailed it right there. It just might be right out of someone's nightmare, but then once scientists get their teeth into something like that, they'll go out and find out if there's any truth in it somewhere.
"I go back to this whole thing of immortality, that the dead are not really dead, that they exist somewhere, maybe in our nightmares."
The "Wormhole" series asks whether we would know it if we're already experiencing a zombie apocalypse.
"Well, we'd have to define 'zombie' for ourselves first," Freeman noted. "I mean, what exactly is the definition of a zombie? Is it something that is undead and not in control? If that's true, then we're in the middle of an apocalypse right now. Because everybody is controlled by something else. Your smartphone is in control of you and computers are in control of all of us."
Freeman suggests that a zombie pandemic could emerge from something as simple as a virus.
"Yes, it's much more realistic to think that the possibility lies within a virus somewhere, and it could happen," he said. "I think one of the main consequences would be that we'd have these large detention camps for people who exhibited symptoms. And let's not forget the whole survival thing -- that one emotion or drive will make you do whatever you have to in order for you to keep moving, for you to stay alive."

The 1950s Flying Saucer Conventions at an Underground Rock House

giantrock
Have you ever heard the one about the guy who literally lived under a rock in the Californian desert, where legendary flying saucer conventions were held in the 1950s? It’s one of those weird stories that a friend told me at a dinner party, which I of course Googled as soon as I could leave the table. But all I found was a few unsensational pictures of a big old lonely rock sitting in the middle of the Mojave desert– no sign of an entrance to an underground home or that any UFO conventions had ever taken place there. And then by chance today, during my weekly routine fish of the LIFE archives, I stumbled upon a photo series simply titled, “Flying Saucer Convention, 1957“.

No location or further information other than the photographer’s name, Ralph Crane, was given, but a quick comparison of the shape of the giant rock in the recent and old photos, and I knew this was it, I had rediscovered my unfinished story.

Better than I could have imagined, these fantastic black & white photographs extensively document the convention, from the quirky attendees and their campsites, the UFO memorabilia for sale, the buzzing scene that once surrounded this now lonesome boulder and best of all, a look inside the secret home that once lay beneath the giant rock…

But now I think it’s finally time I got around to telling you the story behind this bizarre underground rock home and how it got there– and it’s a pretty crazy story. We go back to the 1930s, when an eccentric German immigrant called Frank Critzer dug out this subterranean home for himself under the giant rock. He lived there alone, isolated from society with nothing but a radio antenna he set up on top of the rock to stay connected with the outside world.

I also tracked down this photo of Frank in his original rock house– viaLabyrinthina.com
But get this– in 1942, during a showdown with police who came to investigate rumours that he was in fact a Nazi spy, Frank died from a self-detonated dynamite explosion in his own bunker. Locals had reported strange behaviour, several incidents of Frank threatening trespassers with a shotgun and suspicion that he was a spy because of  his radio antenna. It turns out, he was just a radio enthusiast who wanted to be left alone in the desert.

After his death, Frank’s only friend, a former aircraft inspector named George Van Tassel, became the giant rock’s new tenant in 1947. The seven-story high rock had originally been sacred to local native Americans for centuries. This spiritual connection suited George quite well, because in addition to being an aviator, he also liked to dabble in the telepathic channeling of alien life. As you do.

In a few short years, George went from living a simple existence with his family in the rooms Frank Critzer had dug out under the Giant Rock, to building his own restaurant on the site, a small airstrip, and an extra-terrestrial research centre which would play host to his annual Giant Rock Spacecraft Convention, attracting more than 11,000 people at its peak.
Fellow aviation enthusiast, Howard Hughes is even said to have dropped by the air strip’s restaurant for a slice of pie.

Tassel’s onsite research centre, nicknamed “the Integratron“, was believed by many to have some pretty special powers– including ‘anti-gravitational and time traveling capabilities provided by extra-terrestrial life on Venus‘. For nearly 20 years it became the dream pilgrimage of every UFO
nut enthusiast in America…

The dome-shaped “Integraton” structure still survives today in Landers, California, near the Giant Rock but not as a pilgrimage site for ufologists. After Tassel’s death in 1978 there were plans to turn it into a disco. Instead, the new owners turned it into an 0ff-beat tourist attraction offering “sound baths”, claiming it to be “the only all-wood, acoustically perfect sound chamber in the U.S.”

As for the rock, in the year 2000 it fractured in two when a large piece broke off, revealing its white interior granite. Since the 1920s, Native American priests had predicted that the future of the 21st century would be foretold upon its fracture. Most likely, it was just telling us that too many UFO tourists had been burning their campfires under the rock. Sadly, the exterior surface is now partially covered in graffiti.
