A UFO sighting by a Carnival Cruise ship happened when a passengers spotted it over Florida waters. The video was snapped by a passenger and put on Youtube by the handle, Thirdphaseofmoon. The video is “New Stealth TR-3B!!! UFO Sightings ET Craft or Military? Florida Coast 10/10/2014.” The footage is seen below.
A woman named Maureen captured the video, according to Blake Cousins of Thirdphaseofmoon. She and her friend saw the unusual flying object in the sky while aboard a Carnival ship. Maureen says the recording is unstable because she was “nervous and shaky.”
The imagery was seen in the middle of the day while the passengers stood in awe of what they wondered was a UFO sighting. In one day, the Youtube video has generated over 10,000 views.
Some viewers comment that it could be a drone that passengers of the Carnival Cruise Line ship spotted. Others disagree, while some have other thoughts.

'Be Prepared' might be the official motto of the Boy Scouts, but it's also a maxim that appeals to governments the world over. If you want to be in power, it isn't enough to just respond to situations as they happen, often you need to develop a contingency plan - regardless of how outlandish the threat might seem.
Luckily, many of these plans never come to fruition, but that doesn't mean the government, and related organizations, haven't prepared for situations that you're much more likely to see in Hollywood than in reality.
NASA Drafted Nixon a Speech in the Event Apollo 11 Failed
With the space race in full swing, there was certainly a lot riding on the success of the Apollo 11 mission. However, it seems that the Nixon administration were prepared for a Gravity-esque situation in which Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were left stranded on the moon.
Well, perhaps 'prepared' isn't the right word. They didn't have a rescue plan - that was impossible - but they did have a fairly poetic public statement which lamented the loss of the heroes. You can read it below:
Officially, NASA stated there was only a 0.1% chance that the Lunar Lander's ascent engine would have failed, leaving the astronauts stranded. Privately, however, Neil Armstrong is rumored to have stated the whole mission had closer to a 50/50 success rate.
Making First Contact With Extra-Terrestrial Life
If movies have taught us anything, it's that first contact with aliens probably isn't going to go smoothly. With this in mind, you'd think the government would prepare a plan on how to deal with extra-terrestrial visitors.
If they have, they're certainly keeping it under wraps, as nothing has officially been announced. However, NASA and the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence Agency (SETI) have compiled reports about how to welcome space voyagers.
For example, SETI has established the Post Detection Taskgroup which are tasked with advising governments on how to deal with aliens. Their plan seems to be as follows:
Any state or individual intercepting signals believed to be extra-terrestrial must submit them to SETI and other research organizations for confirmation.
The signal origin must be kept secret to prevent others from attempting unilateral communication.
Once confirmed, the United Nations and International Astronomical Union should be informed. No individual entity or state should attempt communication.
A press conference should be held in which those who discovered the signal have the privilege of making the announcement.
The world should then come to an agreement if and how to respond via 'appropriate international consultations.' Binary code is often accepted as the most pertinent way to respond and should be sent on behalf of all humankind. The message should reflect "careful concern for the broad interests and well-being of Humanity."
Unfortunately, according to some academics, the outlook is not good. Even Stephen Hawkings has accepted that if aliens did encounter Earth, it probably wouldn't end well for us. He theorized that any civilization that reached Earth would have likely exhausted its own resources and would now live a nomadic lifestyle, harvesting one planet after the other.
The Zombie Apocalypse
Yep, that's right. It's not just Rick Grimes and his pals which are concerned with the walking dead. It seems the US Government is, too... kind of...
Earlier this year, ForeignPolicy.com uncovered an unclassified document titled CONOP 8888, which is better known as "Counter-Zombie Dominance." As you can probably guess, the document was an operational plan for dealing with the undead. It even classes the different types of zombies which can be expected, including, pathogenic zombies, radiation zombies, evil magic zombies, space zombies, weaponized zombies, symbiant-induced zombies, vegetarian zombies and, strangely, chicken zombies.
The report stated:
This plan fulfills fictional contingency planning guidance tasking for U.S. Strategic Command to develop a comprehensive [plan] to undertake military operations to preserve 'non-zombie' humans from the threats posed by a zombie horde. Because zombies pose a threat to all non-zombie human life, [Strategic Command] will be prepared to preserve the sanctity of human life and conduct operations in support of any human population -- including traditional adversaries.
Among many other things, the report concerns how to protect and maintain local governance, conduct an adequate humanitarian response and ultimately battle the undead. Broadly, the plan falls into several stages: "Shape," "Deter," "Seize Initiative," "Dominate," "Stabilize," "Restore Civil Authority," which includes "prepar[ing] to redeploy the forces to attack surviving zombie holdouts."
CONOP 8888 - Offensive Operations.
Now, unfortunately, this plan is not an operational U.S. Strategic Command plan, but simply a training exercise used to promote initiative and develop concepts of disaster relief. However, as the disclaimer points out, the plan is "not actually designed as a joke" and the concepts explored within are seriously meant to deal with a hypothetical zom-pocalypse.
Asteroid Armageddon Impact
Now, many of the above scenarios are fairly unlikely, but this next one is an apocalyptic event which is actually statistically certain to happen... In fact it already sort of has.
In February last year, a meteor exploded over Chelyabinsk, Russia with the force of 30 atomic bombs. Luckily, it was high enough in the atmosphere to cause only moderate damage on the ground, however it highlighted a major issue - no one saw it coming.
In the wake of this event, the UN General Assembly finally approved the creation of an International Asteroid Warning Group, something which experts had been advocating for years.
The group made recommendations consisting of three distinct phases.
1. Get Prepared. The IAWG called for the creation of an agency explicitly tasked with dealing with collision-course asteroids. They stated:
No government in the world today has explicitly assigned the responsibility for planetary protection to any of its agencies. NASA does not have an explicit responsibility to deflect an asteroid, nor does any other space agency.
2. Locate the asteroids. Stopping asteroids is only viable if we know they're actually coming. Indeed, experts suggest they might need to spot an asteroid a decade before it hits Earth to have any chance of stopping it. This is something NASA has been doing since 2005, although earlier this year they announced they had so far only spotted 10 percent of the Earth-shattering-sized asteroids out there. In the words of my old gym teacher, "that's not good enough"!

3. Devise course altering strategies. Once we've spotted those suckers, we need to somehow slap them off their current course. If this is done early enough, even a slight nudge might be enough to cause it to miss Earth. The most popular strategy at the moment is rather basic - ramming the asteroid with a big rocket. However, other methods are available including nuking them (not always advisable), using a gravity tractor to pull if off course, or most interestingly, "wrapping the asteroid in a sheet of reflective plastic such as aluminized clingfilm, which will act as a solar sail."
At no point in the plan do we need to consult a gang of tough, rough oil drilling experts or consult Michael Bay.

Shambhala, which is a Sanskrit word meaning “place of peace” or “place of silence”, is a mythical paradise spoken of in ancient texts, including the Kalachakra Tantra and the ancient scriptures of the Zhang Zhung culture which predated Tibetan Buddhism in western Tibet.
According to legend, it is a land where only the pure of heart can live, a place where love and wisdom reigns and where people are immune to suffering, want or old age.
Shambhala is said to be the land of a thousand names. It has been called the Forbidden Land, the Land of White Waters, Land of Radiant Spirits, Land of Living Fire, Land of the Living Gods and Land of Wonders.
The Hindus call it Aryavartha (‘The Land of the Worthy Ones); the Chinese know it as Hsi Tien, the Western Paradise of Hsi Wang Mu; and to the Russian Old Believers, it is known as Belovoyde.
But throughout Asia, it is best known by its Sanskrit name, Shambhala, Shamballa, or Shangri-la.
The legend of Shambhala is said to date back thousands of years, and reference to the mythical land can be found in various ancient texts. The Bön scriptures speak of a closely related land called Olmolungring.
Hindu texts such as Vishnu Purana mention Shambhala as the birth place of Kalki, the final incarnation of Vishnu who will usher in a new Golden Age. The Buddhist myth of Shambhala is an adaptation of the earlier Hindu myth. However, the text in which Shambhala is first discussed extensively is the Kalachakra.
The Kalachakra refers to a complex and advanced esoteric teaching and practice in Tibetan Buddhism. Shakyamuni Buddha is said to have taught the Kalachakra on request of King Suchandra of Shambhala.
As with many concepts in the Kalachakra, the idea of Shambhala is said to have outer, inner, and alternative meanings. The outer meaning understands Shambhala to exist as a physical place, although only individuals with the appropriate karma can reach it and experience it as such.
Shambhala is described as a land of paradise;
The inner and alternative meanings refer to more subtle understandings of what Shambhala represents in terms of one's own body and mind (inner), and during meditative practice (alternative). These two types of symbolic explanations are generally passed on orally from teacher to student.
As the 14th Dalai Lama noted during the 1985 Kalachakra initiation in Bodhgaya, Shambhala is not an ordinary country:
"Although those with special affiliation may actually be able to go there through their karmic connection, nevertheless it is not a physical place that we can actually find.
"We can only say that it is a pure land, a pure land in the human realm. And unless one has the merit and the actual karmic association, one cannot actually arrive there."
The concept of Shambhala plays an important role in Tibetan religious teachings, and has particular relevance in Tibetan mythology about the future.
The Kalachakra prophesies the gradual deterioration of mankind as the ideology of materialism spreads over the earth.
When the “barbarians” who follow this ideology are united under an evil king and think there is nothing left to conquer, the mists will lift to reveal the snowy mountains of Shambhala.
The barbarians will attack Shambhala with a huge army equipped with terrible weapons. Then the king of Shambhala will emerge from Shambhala with a huge army to vanquish "dark forces" and usher in a worldwide Golden Age.
Though the Kālachakra prophesies a future war, this appears in conflict with the vows of Buddhist teachings that prohibit violence.
This has led some theologians to interpret the war symbolically – the Kālachakra is not advocating violence against people but rather refers to the inner battle of the religious practitioner against inner demonic tendencies.
Shambhala’s hidden location
Over many centuries, numerous explorers and seekers of spiritual wisdom have embarked on expeditions and quests in search of the mythical paradise of Shambhala, and while many have claimed to have been there, no one has yet provided any evidence of its existence or been able to pinpoint its physical location on a map, however most references place Shambhala in the mountainous regions of Eurasia.
Ancient Zhang Zhung texts identify Shambhala with the Sutlej Valley in Punjab or Himachal Pradesh, India. Mongolians identify Shambhala with certain valleys of southern Siberia. In Altai folklore, Mount Belukha is believed to be the gateway to Shambhala.
Modern Buddhist scholars seem to conclude that Shambhala is located in the higher reaches of the Himalayas in what is now called the Dhauladhar Mountains around Mcleodganj.
Some legends say that the entrance to Shambhala is hidden inside a remote, abandoned monastery in Tibet, and guarded by beings known as the Shambhala Guardians.

For some, the fact that Shambhala has never been found has a very simple explanation – many believe that Shambhala lies on the very edge of physical reality, as a bridge connecting this world to one beyond it.
While many disregard Shambhala as the fanciful subject of myth and legend, for others, a belief in Shambhala stirs an inner yearning to one day find this utopian kingdom.

Mike Young from Fort Smith, Arkansas has been asked to help the History Channel provide evidence that a giant race of red haired Indians once lived in Arkansas.
“They were between 8 and 10 feet tall, some up to as tall as 12 feet long skeletal remains,” said Young “They had 2 rows of teeth instead of 1 row of teeth and they were rumored to be …well the Native Americans had legends that they where cannibalistic and also had red hair. ”
Young said that “there is strong evidence human giants lived in the area that is now Arkansas”, however did not find any skeletons in his dive.
His dive will air on history channel November 4th according to KSFM 5 News.
A 14-year-old girl with a history of serious health issues lay dying of pneumonia in a hospital room. But as her mother waited for the girl to take her last breath, an image of bright light appeared on a security monitor. Within an hour, the dying girl began a recovery that doctors are at a loss to explain.
But Colleen Banton, the girl's mother, has an explanation. "This was an image of an angel," she told NBC News in a story reported Tuesday on TODAY. She credited the apparition with saving the life of her daughter Chelsea.
The incident happened in Charlotte, N.C., Chelsea had been born five weeks prematurely with developmental disabilities and had battled serious health problems all her life.
She is particularly susceptible to the types of pneumonia infections that had taken her to death's door. Told that there was no hope for Chelsea, Colleen Banton had just instructed doctors to take her daughter off life support and allow nature to take its course when the apparition was seen.
It would be another two months before Chelsea finally left the hospital to return home, where she is about to celebrate her 15th birthday as well as Christmas. Her mother is convinced that Chelsea was saved by divine intervention.
A remarkable symbol is carved in a rock on Mars. A photo taken by Mars Rover Opportunity shows what appears to be a Cross Slab(s) similar to a Celtic or Irish cross shape.
The Celtic cross and Irish cross shape itself has been widely used by many ancient peoples, long before the arrival of Christianity.
Its four arms were perfect for denoting the four elements, the four directions of the compass, and the four parts of man - mind, body, soul and heart.
The addition of the ring around the cross has had many explanations, everything from sun worship and symbolism, to creating a shape with the cross that was well contained and aesthetically pleasing.
An Irish legend tells how St. Patrick, a 5th-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland created the first Celtic cross by drawing a circle over a Latin cross to incorporate a pagan moon goddess symbol. For an Irish Catholic, the circle in the Celtic cross may be a symbol of eternity and the endlessness of God's love. It can even represent a halo emanating from Christ.
Is an ancient extraterrestrial race responsible for the ‘cross shape with additional ring’ on Mars and they brought this symbol to planet earth as a sign of eternal life?
