Cars Narrowly Escape Huge Russian Sinkhole

Any number of dash-cam videos will attest that driving in Russia can be quite an adventure. But what to do when the road just opens up underneath you?
Drive around it, obviously.
Motorists in the city of Tyumen, Siberia -- about 1,600 miles east of Moscow -- begin steering around quickly widening cracks in the pavement in this video, posted to YouTube May 8. Its description seems to indicate that the video was shot during the morning commute.
Jalopnik isolated the most interesting part of the video, when the road finally gives out and collapses into a sinkhole that's easily big enough to swallow a car.

Big as it is, this sinkhole looks like a baby compared to the block-long depression that basically ate a residential street in Baltimore a few weeks ago.
The Telegraph reports that like the monster hole in Baltimore, this Siberian sinkhole was probably caused by heavy rains.
