Charles Hall and The Tall White ETs

Charles Hall's Millennial Hospitality book series, describing his encounters with a race of human-like extraterrestrials - the “Tall Whites” (TW) - during a two year duty assignment at Nellis Air Force Base from 1965 to 1967, is a story with tremendous visual impact.

Situated on Nevada's vast Desert National Wildlife Range, a scenic wilderness containing almost no artificial structures, the Nellis Ranges consist of almost nothing but breathtaking scenery.

This is the backdrop against which Hall's story plays out. Every event he describes can be said to consist of the same basic elements: the landscape, the weather, the people (humans and humanoids), the craft, sometimes the weather shacks... the occasional glimpse of a hangar door and, believe it or not, the TW children's playgrounds.

The story cries out for visuals of these elements. Yet it was not possible for Hall to provide us with anything other than his memories.

Visuals would have had value beyond the esthetic: they also would have demonstrated the feasibility of some of the things Hall describes. For example, he writes that he was able to view the Tall Whites' main hangar entrance high in the mountains 30 miles north of his Range 3 theodolite position on the desert floor. A photograph of that unlikely view would have helped to support the story.

Twenty years after his discharge from the Air Force, Hall began writing down his experiences, and after another twenty years, published them - at first presenting his books as works of fiction. Had he never reversed himself and begun claiming them to be true stories albeit slightly modified to protect the identities of some of the characters, there would have been no point in going back and trying to reconstruct the events as they took place on the ground.

When he was writing his stories, he did not know that it might be possible to reconstruct how they fitted into the landscape and in that way test the possibility of what he claimed to have viewed.

He did not know that high resolution elevation data and satellite imagery of the Nellis ranges would ever be made available to the public, or that software capable of rendering photorealistic images from the raw data would be widely available.
And yet, these things have come to pass, and this makes it possible to create realistic illustrations and even a video animation of at least one element of his story: the landscape in which it takes place.

I first began experimenting with the geological data, the satellite images, and landscape rendering software in late 2004, hoping to have a first look at “geometric feasibility” and to add interest to Hall's narrative.

The results were successful on both counts. In each instance, the views described by Hall turned out to be confirmed by the graphic renderings. And the images were pleasing and even dramatic to look at.

One unexpected benefit from this work has been the opportunity it has given Charles Hall to relive his old experiences through viewing these illustrations. Here is what he wrote in an e-mail after having been shown the report as a work-in-progress:

They are so impressive, I can hardly describe them. The memories they bring back to me I am not able to describe in this short email.

Indeed, working with these images has given me the feeling that I know the terrain well, and they can bring that closeness to you also.

But what of the other elements that we would like to have: weather, people, spacecrafts, and structures?

Here we are dependent on what Charles Hall remembers and is willing to help us recreate in terms of drawings and verbal descriptions. He has supplied two sketches of spacecraft shapes, and from this a graphic model has been developed. This is included in the report.

Weather and lighting conditions are amply described in his books where relevant, and it has been possible to recreate that aspect in the landscape renderings.

Hall also describes the weather shacks in some detail, and they do play a role in his experiences. I have elected not to take on the task of rendering architecture in the present report, however, as this would require significant additional effort, and it remains to be seen if there will any interest in it.

As to the rest, we can hope that this report itself will stimulate Hall's memories to the extent that he will be able to contribute more information that can be included in future updates.

“GHOST HEALED ME” CLAIMS WOMAN

A woman believes she was healed by a ghostly apparition known as the White Lady as she visited a church during a family summer holiday.
Diane Berthelot had been unwell for months after having her gall bladder removed and was taking antibiotics for an infection when she went into Worstead village church in Norfolk to rest and escape the heat.
While she sat on a pew close to the font and prayed for a full recovery, her husband Peter and son David wandered around the empty church taking photographs.
Mrs Berthelot remembers vividly tingling all over and feeling “warm and comfortable” while sitting on the wooden bench with her eyes closed and head bowed.
When she felt better the family left the church and did not think about the incident until six months later when the camera film was developed and they held a slide show of their holiday snaps for their lodger at their home in Chelmsford, Essex.
One photo clearly showed a woman wearing a bonnet and dressed in light-coloured, old-fashioned clothes, sitting facing Mrs Berthelot on a bench directly behind her.
She said: “When we saw the white figure sitting behind me on the projector screen, we just stood there with our mouths open.
“My feet started to tingle. This sensation eventually engulfed the whole of me. It was a pleasant, comforting feeling.” Her husband added: “I had been walking around the church looking at various things.
“I came back, saw Diane sitting there and took the photo. I couldn’t see anyone behind her but it’s so clear on the image. It’s incredible.”
The following summer they went back to St Mary’s Church in Worstead and showed the slide to the vicar, who told them about a local legend that the White Lady was a healer who appeared when there was sickness.
The folklore also said that a man climbed into the church belfry on Christmas Eve in 1830, boasting he would kiss the White Lady if he saw her.
His friends later found him huddled in a corner whispering “I’ve seen her, I’ve seen her,” before dying.
However, Mrs Berthelot, now 81 and living in North Walsham, Norfolk, believes her contact with the ghost was a positive experience which has boosted her health and spiritual well-being throughout her life.
And for decades after that first encounter on Saturday, August 2, 1975 she experienced the same tingling sensation every time she looked at the photo. She explained:
“I always felt it was a blessing because my whole life seemed to change after we realised the White Lady had sat behind me. It inspired me to write poetry.
“I can remember the sensation that engulfed me sitting on that pew as if it was yesterday.”
Mr Berthelot, 82, said: “Every time we have been back to the church, it has been a very calming experience. I definitely believe in ghosts.”

Watch Triple Lightning Strike 3 of Chicago's Tallest Buildings At Once

Photographer Craig Shimala was filming a time-lapse of a derecho over Chicago on the night of June 30th when a triple lightning strike touched down on three of the city's tallest buildings: Willis Tower, Trump Tower, and the John Hancock Building.

The whole time-lapse is worth a watch, but the triple strike can be seen at 0:36 and 0:46. Here's the still from the 36-second mark:

"This time [the photograph] was a still from a time-lapse," writes Shimala. (The still, from the 26-second mark, appears above.) He specifies "this time," because he captured another triple-strike – on the same trio of buildings – four years ago:

Dead grandmother's ghost 'took selfie to send family help message from other side' woman claims

Terrified Gina Mihai, 34, believes the spirit of her deceased grandma is reaching out asking her family to pray for her

This supposed ghost selfie 'taken by a dead grandmother' has Romanians spooked.
Petrified Gina Mihai, 34, claims the spirit of her deceased grandma is reaching out in a desperate message for help.
Locals have been packing out churches to pray for her after a fortune teller claimed she was being punished 'in the other life' for her sins.
Gina said: "When I switched the phone on I was horrified to see my dead grandmother's face.
"She had what looked like a snake around her neck, and the whole image looked as if it had been taken through a hole, like it was shot through a tear in the fabric that separates the living from the dead.
"I took it to a fortune teller who told me that my grandmother was sending me a message from the other side, the snake around her neck was a symbol of the fact that she was being punished in the other life for some sin.
"By contacting us she was telling us that if we were to pray for her, we would still be able to save her soul."
Now dozens of other families have joined them at churches across the town to pray for her grandmother.
Shock: The image appeared on Gina's phone
In Romania once a year there is a feast, the Service of Alms, in which Romanians travel to the local graveyard and hand over food as a gesture to the spirits in the afterlife.
Gina said: "My grandmother died three years ago and I haven't taken any food for her to the graveyard.
"I was making doughnuts at the time and didn't want to get the phone dirty so I put it in my pocket, and when I took it out there was the image on the phone.
"The fortune teller told me that was a mistake not to have paid tribute to her with an offering of food, and it was significant that she contacted me while I was cooking. I have taken doughnuts to the cemetery every day since then."
Florica Mihai, 45, another relative, said: "The village priest told me that we need to do 40 Days of Alms to make up for those that we missed and we are doing it now. We want to help her soul to be saved."

ECUADOR GIANTS SHOWN TO THE WORLD

In Loja province, Southern Ecuador and Peru border, many strange relics have been uncovered. Bones and full skeletons very similar to those of humans but of incredible size. These artifacts have been watched over for many years by several guardians in the beautiful valleys of that Province.
By far the most famous and well known of these “guardians” was Father Carlos Miguel Vaca, who guarded until his death in 1999, several bones and fragments, unearthed from a site called “Changaiminas” which translated means “Gods cemetery.”
Several fragments were redirected to the Smithsonian Institution of the United States of America, for people to study their density, age, weight etc. This was broadcast on a television program for Ecuador, which lasted two hours, led by renowned director Alfonso Espinosa De Los Monteros.
Now some pieces from that collection have been shown to the world by renowned UFO researcher Klaus Dona.
Several other important relics and fragments are known to be in private collections, by people who are not interested in sharing them, at least not with the public.
From the aforementioned fragmented skeleton, seven fragments were studied by different scientists and anatomists, and they have confirmed, that they are part of a human skeleton that was seven times the size of a modern human.
Quartz formations porocidades covering the surface of the bones, indicated that the relics were tens of thousands of years old.

Mysterious Ancient Coastal Complex at Chirije

There is a place in Ecuador that can only be reached when the tide goes out. It is the ancient coastal complex at Chirije. When the tide runs low one can take a sturdy vehicle between the water and cliffs over sand and rocks into this vast archaeology complex.Separated from the world by water, jungle, and time this little know site is vastly rich in artifacts from a nearly unknown and unstudied ancient civilization. But this was not always so. For hundreds of years in the remote past, indeed perhaps for over a thousand, Chirije was known by its trade goods over an expanse reaching at least as far north as Mexico and as far South as Chile. A distance that exceeds that of the Inca Empire at its height.
Yet this archaeological treasure trove remains mostly unstudied since a brief period in the 1950’s when Ecuadorian archaeologist Emilio Estrada discovered the site and declared it to be one of the most important sites on the Ecuadorian coast. The Louvre Museum of Paris and the Smithsonian Institution would come again in the mid 90’s to reaffirm the importance of the site. But water, sand, rugged terrain, and time have all served to isolate Chirije from investigation.
Few places in the New World offer such a rich deposit of artifacts. Tiahuanaco, in Bolivia, along the shores of Lake Titicaca comes to mind—but no other. Pottery shards at Chirije lie almost everywhere. Other remains of this ancient culture lie underneath and buried in the rich loose soil. Erosion along the water’s edge only serves to add to the rich cultural deposits as artifacts literally drop down from the cliffs edges onto the rocks below smashing into pieces are lost in the sand.

'Shadow entity' caught on night camera ?

A man who set up a camera to film his sleep paralysis managed to capture something unexpected.

Sleep paralysis, the phenomenon in which you enter a half-waking state during which you are unable to move, can be an unnerving experience at the best of times, but when coupled with the feeling that you are not alone or the appearance of someone in the room with you it can quickly change from a harmless curiosity to the stuff of nightmares.

This was exactly what happened to YouTube user Mike Pike who last week observed what he believed to be a dark shadow figure watching him from the foot of his bed during a sleep paralysis episode. Having described the experience as the most terrifying of his life, Pike decided to set up a camera in his room to film what was there in the event that the same thing happened again.

"I'm a rationalist and a very skeptical person with no previous interest in paranormal activity, but after doing some research it seemed like there was a possibility that this entity is real," he wrote.

Sure enough, after rewatching the footage he noticed that he had indeed caught something unusual on camera. From around the 30-second mark on the video below it is possible to see a vague shape rising up towards the ceiling above the bed having seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

"I have watched the footage over and over trying to figure out some logical explanation for what could have caused the image of what seems to be a ghost, but I haven't been able to come up with a solution," he wrote.

"I am really starting to believe that I captured the entity I saw during my paralysis on video. This terrifies me so much that I can no longer sleep in my room."
