Space Aliens Live Quietly Among Us, Say Some Scientists and Officials,

Some officials and scientists have said they believe extraterrestrials live in our midst, that we may unwittingly be in contact with them on a daily basis or they may even be inside our bodies.  

1. Canada’s Former Defense Minister

Earlier this month, former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer told RT he believes aliens are among us: “”[I've] been getting from various sources [that] there are about 80 different species and some of them look just like us and they could walk down the street and you wouldn’t know if you walked past one.” 

2. Paul Davies, Arizona State University

Award-winning physicist Paul Davies has said alien life may be “right under our noses—or even in our noses.”

He told CBS News that microbes from outer space may be on the earth or even in our bodies. He also said life may have developed on Earth multiple times, not just once, and that life from different time periods may be alien.  

3. Dr. Robert Trundle, Northern Kentucky University

Dr. Robert Trundle, a philosophy professor at North Kentucky University, told the Cincinnati Post in 2004 that he has been “shunned” for his views on extraterrestrials. He wrote a book titled “Is ET Here? No Politically, but Yes Scientifically and Theologically.”

He told the Post: “Does ET exist from a political perspective? No, because the government is afraid of the culture shock and public panic. For the government to acknowledge the existence of extraterrestrials here would be to admit it can’t protect us from them.

“Scientifically, I argue that thousands of well-regarded witness accounts cannot simply be dismissed. I’m talking about pilots who have come forward even though it’s meant they’ve had to undergo psychiatric exams as a direct result.”

Latchezar Filipov, head of the Space Research Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, told the Toronto Star in 2009: “”We sent (the aliens) 30 questions about global problems, … and now we have some answers.”

He did not say how the queries were sent, but he did say the answers came as pictograms in crop circles.

The aliens are said to have told Filipov and his team that the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence’s (SETI’s) attempts to detect aliens have failed because of “magnetic fields.” Filipov also said, according to the Telegraph: “Aliens are currently all around us, and are watching us all the time.” 

Filipov has worked on a MIR spacecraft mission and has held high-level positions in astrophysics.

4,600-Year-Old Step Pyramid Uncovered in Egypt.

TORONTO — Archaeologists working near the ancient settlement of Edfu, in southern Egypt, have uncovered a step pyramid that dates back about 4,600 years, predating the Great Pyramid of Giza by at least a few decades.

The step pyramid, which once stood as high as 43 feet (13 meters), is one of seven so-called "provincial" pyramids built by either the pharaoh Huni (reign ca. 2635-2610 B.C.) or Snefru (reign ca. 2610-2590 B.C.). Over time, the step pyramid's stone blocks were pillaged, and the monument was exposed to weathering, so today, it's only about 16 feet (5 m) tall.

Scattered throughout central and southern Egypt, the provincial pyramids are located near major settlements, have no internal chambers and were not intended for burial. Six of the seven pyramids have almost identical dimensions, including the newly uncovered one at Edfu, which is about 60 x 61 feet (18.4 x 18.6 m). [See Photos of the Newly Uncovered Step Pyramid]

The purpose of these seven pyramids is a mystery. They may have been used as symbolic monuments dedicated to the royal cult that affirmed the power of the king in the southern provinces.

"The similarities from one pyramid to the other are really amazing, and there is definitely a common plan," said Gregory Marouard, a research associate at the University of Chicago's Oriental Institute who led the work at the Edfu pyramid. On the east side of the newly uncovered pyramid, his team found the remains of an installation where food offerings appear to have been made — a discovery that is important for understanding this kind of pyramid since it provides clues as to what they were used for.

The team also found hieroglyphic graffiti incised on the outer faces of the pyramid. The inscriptions are located beside the remains of babies and children who were buried at the foot of the pyramid. The researchers think the inscriptions and burials date to long after the pyramid was built and that the structure was not originally intended as a burial place.

Initial results of the excavation were presented at a symposium held in Toronto recently by the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities.

Uncovering the pyramid

Though scholars knew of the existence of the pyramid at Edfu, the structure had never been excavated before Marouard's team started work in 2010, he said in the study. His team found that the pyramid was covered by a thick layer of sand, modern waste and remains from the pillaging of its blocks.

It didn't look like a pyramid he said, and people in a nearby village even thought the structure was the tomb of a sheikh, a local Muslim saint. As the team went to work cleaning the monument, the ancient pyramidwas revealed. [In Photos: The Seven Ancient Wonders of the World]

Built of sandstone blocks and clay mortar, it had been constructed in the form of a three-step pyramid. A core of blocks rises up vertically, with two layers of blocks beside it, on top of each other. This made the pyramid look like it had three steps. The style is similar to that of a step pyramid built by Djoser (reign ca. 2670-2640 B.C.), the pharaoh who constructed Egypt's first pyramid at the beginning of the third ancient Egyptian dynasty. The technique is close to that used at the Meidum pyramid, which was built by either Snefru or Huni and started out as a step pyramid before being turned into a true pyramid.

"The construction itself reflects a certain care and a real expertise in the mastery of stone construction, especially for the adjustment of the most important blocks," said Marouard in his paper. Marouard also noted that the pyramid was built directly on the bedrock and was constructed entirely with local raw materials. The quarry where the sandstone was extracted was discovered in 2011, and is located only about a half mile (800 m) north of the pyramid.

The growth of a modern-day cemetery and village poses a danger to the newly uncovered pyramid. In order to help prevent further looting, a fence was built around the structure, thanks to financial assistance from the American Research Center in Egypt and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Graffiti and child burials

As the team uncovered the pyramid, they found that inscriptions had been incised on its outer faces. They include hieroglyphic depictions of a book roll, a seated man, a four-legged animal, a reed leaf and a bird.

"These are mostly private and rough inscriptions, and certainly dedicated to the child/babies' burials located right under these inscriptions at the foot of the pyramid," Marouard told Live Science in an email. One of the inscriptions appears to mean "head of the house" and may be a reference to the mother of a buried child.

Marouard said his team would be publishing these burials and images in more detail in the future. 

A pyramid abandoned

The archaeologists found that by the time of the reign of Khufu (the pharaoh who built the Great Pyramid), ca. 2590-2563 B.C., the pyramid at Edfu had been abandoned, and offerings were no longer being made. This occurred less than 50 years after its construction, Marouard said.

This suggests the seven small pyramids stopped being used when work on the Great Pyramid began. It seems Khufu no longer thought there was a need to maintain a small pyramid at Edfu, or elsewhere in southern Egypt, Marouard said. Rather, Khufu focused all the resources on building the Great Pyramid at Giza, which is close to the Egyptian capital at Memphis, he added.

Khufu may have felt politically secure in southern Egypt and saw no need to maintain or build pyramids there, Marouard said in the email. The "center of gravity of Egypt was then at Memphis for many centuries — this region draining resources and manpower from the provinces, all regions being put to use for the large construction sites of funerary complexes."

At Wadi al-Jarf, a port found on the shore of the Red Sea that dates to Khufu's time, papyri (written documents) dating to the end of Khufu's reign were recently discovered that supports the idea that the pharaoh tried to converge all the resources he could toward Giza and the ancient wonder being constructed there.

Turkish Government Official Confirms UFOs Over Istanbul

Istanbul, Turkey- A senior government official has confirmed that a cluster of unidentified flying objects were spotted over the clear winter skies of Istanbul on January 31, 2014. The official, who desired to remain anonymous because of the sensitivity of the matter, came forward after an image of the UFO cluster was forwarded to a government agency just yesterday. Inothernewz.com is the first Western media outlet to break this story.

“I can confirm there was substantial UFO activity over Istanbul on the night of January 31,” said the government official. “We are currently investigating the origination of the flying objects but there is strong preliminary indication that the objects may have been extraterrestrial. We surmise this due to the fact that there were no commercial or private aircraft in the vicinity of Istanbul at that hour of night.”

Istanbul is one of the most congested urban areas of the world with an estimated population just under fourteen million people. The alleged UFO sighting occurred during the morning hours around 3 am. A man by the name of Ali Ozcan is the only person to have taken a picture of the cluster of UFOs using his smartphone.

Inothernewz.com spoke to Mr. Ozcan before breaking this story.

“I was heading home from work at the restaurant when I saw something overhead,” he said. “It was very bright, very prominent in the sky. I was not sure what it was, I mean, of course one thinks it’s a UFO or something out of the ordinary at first, but I honestly had no idea what it could have been. I quickly snapped a picture with my iPhone just before the flying objects disappeared. It couldn’t have been more than a matter of seconds, really.”

“Nothing like this has ever happened to me so it’s really exciting that I was the only person to have photographed the objects,” he said. “I hope your news outlet and the Turkish government can shed some light on these objects.”

Inothernewz.com has also learned through the government official interviewed for this article that several leading Turkish scientists have been called to Istanbul to analyze the photo. There is no word yet if the Turkish government plans to release the image or news of this UFO event to the general public.

“We have not made a decision about releasing any data to the populace at this early junction of our investigation,” said the Turkish government official. “We will make any and all important decisions as we gather further information. It is our goal to keep our citizens safe at all costs and that’s what we plan to do.”

Mr. Ozcan, however, believes the UFOs over Istanbul should be made public. “I was the one that send the photo to the proper government agency. Therefore I believe the government has a duty to inform everyone of what it was that appeared over the skies of our city. We have a right to know and I have full faith my government will disclose everything shortly.”

Ancient UFO Discovered Under Temple in India.

In the far south of India, opposite the island of Sri Lanka in the state of Kerala, sits an ancient mysterious temple containing six vaults that have been the subject of deep controversy.

The Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum is considered one of the wonders of the world, and a temple guarded in secrecy. The vaults contained inside have been protected by priests and lay within the twenty foot thick stone foundations of the main shrine. Many of the vaults have not been opened for over thousands of years. This week, under Kerala High Court authority, opening the vaults, which have been the subject of endless tales and legends, took place under the eyes of government authorities and a historical journalist from Austria.

One vault in particular, labelled “B” has no written or oral record of ever being opened for as long as the shrine has been in existence. The shrine was constructed in the early 6th century ACE.

“Under military security, we opened all the vaults except “B”,” advised Shital Ramandeep, spokesperson for the Royal family of Trivandrum. “We are not happy that the High Courts are allowing this. It is not advised to open vault “B”. It will insult and anger Lord Vishnu.”

What was found in the vaults labeled A, C, D, E and F were a vast collection of gold coins, silver jewelery, gold statues studded with precious gems, and vast amounts of other items of phenomenal monetary and historical value.

Vault “B” was left for last

When it came to opening the vault “B”, it had been sealed shut with a heavy solid cast iron door without a latch. The only known method of opening the vault was recorded in religious doctrine by using a chant known as the Garuda mantra, similar to the “Hollywood” verbal magic phrase known as “open sesame.” However, no member of the Royal Family nor the shrine priests claimed to know the mantra.

Under the protests of the Royal Family and the priests, entry was gained through force and what was found inside has the temple authorities demanding the removal of all visitors, military, and government officials.

According to an Austrian Journalist Reinhardt Smueller, inside the vault was found a dark grey, very smooth elongated capsule, with no discerning opening. Propped up against the capsule were seven human mummified remains. The human remains showed no signs of violent death, and appeared to be dressed in a thick material with the consistency of silk. The silk itself showed no signs of decay.

What has the authorities very concerned is that the object has an almost inaudible low frequency hum. Further, attempts to see inside the capsule were impossible. It was hoped that a fibre optic camera could be used to see inside, but attempts to drill a small hole into the surface proved the capsule to be impenetrable. Another concern is that the capsule itself has no magnetic properties, but is warm to the touch.

“As incredible as this sounds,” advised Smueller, “this vault had no treasures and the walls of the vault have no markings, drawings or script. The capsule is very large, about 30 meters by 10 meters by 8 meters.” Smueller went on to state that the mummified remains of the seven people all had blonde hair and very fair complexions. “It was odd,” claimed Smueller. “In all the years I have covered historical findings, I have never seen mummified remains with fair complexions.” Smueller added that the remains were perfectly preserved.

Authorities are not speculating as to what the unidentified object is inside vault “B”, but Smueller was quick to point out that ancient Hindu art dating back to to the 4th century BCE depicts a similar object in the skies above the temples. “The object is so strange looking it just does not seem to be something that man made, especially by any ancient society,” concluded Smueller.

Star next door may host a 'superhabitable' world.

Earth may be our home, but another planet even cosier for life could be orbiting the star next door. A detailed analysis of what might make planets suitable for life says that Alpha Centauri B, the star closest to our sun, would be the perfect star to host a "superhabitable" planet – a world of islands, shallow seas and gentle slopes, where the conditions needed to support a diverse array of life forms would persist for up to 10 billion years. But the near-paradise would come at a cost to visitors from Earth: the pull of gravity would be about one-quarter stronger than on our home turf.

We normally assume that the best places to look for alien life are Earth-sized planets orbiting sun-like stars. But our best models for habitability consider only a few criteria, such as the planet's size and distance from its star, seeking rocky worlds like Earth in similar orbits to our own.

"But no one had ever touched the question of whether other places may be even more benign environments than Earth provides," says René Heller of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. So he and his colleagues analysed at a host of additional criteria, including a hypothetical planet's gravity, age and internal structure, to explore the possibilities.

Earth has hosted life for at least 3.5 billion years of its 4.6-billion-year existence. But it is near the inner edge of the habitable zone in our solar system, and the sun is getting warmer as it ages. Eventually, perhaps 1 or 2 billion years from now, Earth will become a hot, Venus-like rock enveloped in a deadly murk of carbon dioxide and sulphuric acid.

Instead, the team's analysis says that the choicest locale for life could be a world slightly bigger than Earth orbiting an orange star slightly smaller than the sun. "You want to have a host star that can keep a planet in the habitable zone for 7 to 10 billion years," says Heller. That is thought to be enough time for ecosystems to reach an optimal state for diverse life to flourish.

Slightly more massive planets will alsohold on to their internal heat and moving molten innards for longer. This should drive plate tectonics, which recycle water and nutrients, and create a stronger magnetic field, which shields a planet from damaging solar and cosmic radiation.

Not a peep

We already suspect that the orange star Alpha Centauri B hosts a rocky planet, although if it is confirmed, that world would be too close to its star to support life as we know it. But exoplanet hunters such as NASA's Kepler mission have shown us that planets are rarely born alone, and an as-yet undetected superhabitable world could be orbiting farther from the star.

To be superhabitable, such a world would be so massive that gravity would make its landscape flatter than Earth's, producing mostly shallow seas and archipelagos like Indonesia and the Bahamas. On Earth, such environments produce far more diversity than the deep ocean or the arid centres of large continents. While the team did not specifically address the potential life that might emerge on superhabitable planets, Heller speculates that the higher gravity would keep vegetation closer to the ground and would make the atmosphere thicker, so land animals would probably be short and stocky compared with their earthly counterparts, while the dense air would allow larger creatures to take wing.

The star Alpha Centauri B is about 6 billion years old, which means life on a superhabitable planet in orbit around it would have an evolutionary head-start on us, adds Heller. But would any of that life be intelligent? So far, searches for signs of nearby civilisations, such as the SETI programme, have not heard a peep from our potential neighbours.

"The paper nicely points out important aspects related to habitability," saysRavi Kopparapu of Pennsylvania State University in College Park, who was not involved in the research. But he cautions that, until we find a superhabitable world, we do not have enough evidence to say Earth isn't, in fact, the best place for life.
