MH370: Radar Detected UFO Before Jet Goes Missing; Malaysian Air Force Head Reportedly Confirms Sightings
The search for the ill-fated Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 continues, but to no avail, mysteries still hover over the disappearance of the jet-passenger along with the 239 people on board. More than a month since it vanished, a new theory has emerged that would surely trigger debates about the existence of unidentified flying objects.
Reason.com conducted a poll in the United States and found out that five percent of their respondents believed Flight 370 was abducted by aliens. Several bloggers also indicated a number of UFO sightings around Malaysia before the plane's disappearance.
Alexandra Bruce provided vital information on Forbidden Knowledge TV that would back up the alien abduction theory. According to her report, there were two 'distinct anomalies' spotted on the radar (Flight Radar 24) before it went missing.
"Seeing the radar playback of the moments leading up to the plane's disappearance, one may forgive Malaysia Airlines for not being more forward, in this case - because the radar playback is not only baffling, it shows two distinct anomalies, as pointed out by Intrepid citizen-reporter and YouTube popstar, DAHBOO7.
The radar playback depicts dozens of planes in flight over the region at the time. The first peculiarity is seen in the lower left of the screen. A round object appears in the vicinity of Flight 370 (and amid several others), which the radar does not automatically "read" as airplane. Suddenly, this round object take the form of a "plane" on the radar screen and accelerates at a rate of speed that must be at least five times the speed of the surrounding planes, heading eastward, over the South China Sea - and just as suddenly the object stops and appears to hover in place."
UFO blogger also documented a confirmation by Malaysian air force chief Rodzali Daud that military radar received signal from an unidentified flying objects near the location where MH370 reportedly vanished.
"Malaysia's air force chief, Rodzali Daud, said military radar detected an UFO in an area in the northern Malacca Strait at 2:15 a.m. local time on Saturday about an hour after the plane vanished from air traffic control screens," UFO blogger reported.
Search and recovery operation has been ongoing for more than a month, but the mission hasn't gained a significant breakthrough up to now.

Gallipoli 'ghost' captured at soldiers' cemetery
Dusk had settled and night was closing in on Beach Cemetery at Hell Spit, on the old Anzac battlefields of Gallipoli, when Fairfax photographer Joe Armao opened the shutter on his last series of pictures for the day – and captured something inexplicable.
Only three people were at the cemetery, or anywhere, so far as we were aware, within kilometres: Armao, guide and local author Celal Boz, and me.
Celal was standing among the silent graves, the only person – no more than a silhouette in the gloom – in the camera's field of vision.
By the time the shutter closed, what appeared to be another ghostly figure had been captured by the camera.
The shadowy silhouette of a figure in a wide-brimmed hat appeared in the frame.
In the foreground is a flower that grows between the gravestones.
The spectral figure appears in only one of a series of three near-identical frames shot by Armao over 40 seconds. The camera angle had changed no more than 15 centimetres over the series of pictures, and the shutter had been set for a 2.5-second exposure because of the gathering dark.
Armao saw the unexplained apparition when he checked the frames a few seconds later.
He could offer no explanation, but he said the hair stood up on the back of his neck. When he showed Celal and me, we packed up and left the empty cemetery.
Armao, a Walkley-award-winning photographer of 25 years' experience, said he had never seen anything remotely like the picture that appeared on his screen.
Hours of close and sceptical inspection of the frame, including extreme digital enlargement, comparison with other frames and lively discussion of a number of theories about shadows from the flower, tricks of the light and movement of the camera during the 2.5-second exposure offered no conclusive explanation.
It was simply a moment in a darkening graveyard, 99 years since Anzac soldiers stormed ashore at nearby Anzac Cove, captured by a closing shutter.
We offer it for your judgment.

Is Time Travel Possible?
Pew Research’s recent public opinion poll on technology and the future has been on my mind this week. We’ve already discussed the possibility of weather control andteleportation, but what about time travel? Only 9% of Americans polled say they want time travel technology (or, at least, that they’d prioritize it over other futuristic contraptions), which I’m initially inclined to blame on the fact that most of us didn’t grow up watching Doctor Who and don’t know how cool time travel technology can be.
As was the case with most of the other technologies discussed in the Pew study, time travel refers to something we’re already doing (albeit on an insignificant scale). Due to the effects of time dilation, astronauts and satellites already travel forward in time by tiny fractions of a second. Greenwich Royal Observatory’s Colin Stuart explains how here:
But even if we perfect and amplify this technology, it only allows time travel to the future, and where’s the fun in that? There’s little point in traveling to the future if you can’t come back to the present when you’re done. But traveling backward through time involves a lot more energy and, in Michio Kaku’s words, “punching a hole in the universe”:
A good number of scientists and inventors are trying, in various ways, to figure outhow we can travel through time—but none, as far as we know, have been successful.. Our inability to conquer time travel defines our existence as mortal beings who can only move within brief, finite periods of time—in one direction, and at or near one speed. If we ever could travel in time to change the past, it would be to the human experience what printing our own fake money would be to a game of Monopoly. It would be a game-changer—so much of one that our odds of using the technology responsibly, or even competently, would be slim. Stephen Hawking once remarked that one of the best arguments against future use of time travel is the lack of evidence for time travelers among us. It does, at least, suggest that if future generations have visited us, they had the good sense to keep it to themselves.

Family discover ghostly image of Victorian girl in photos ...
Family posing for pictures in museum shocked to discover ghostly image of girl in Victorian clothing 'which followed them around'
- John Burnside and Shona Backhouse posed for family photos when they visited the Castle Museum in York
- But two years later they spotted a shadowy figure lurking in the images
- The couple believe the figure is a ghostly young girl in Victorian dress
- Couple claim they felt like someone was 'following them around' at the museum
- Mr Burnside said: 'It gives me goosebumps every time I think about it'
A couple claims they discovered images of a ghostly Victorian girl when flicking back through family photos taken during a trip to the museum.
John Burnside and Shona Backhouse, from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, say they had a 'funny feeling' when they visited the Castle Museum in York two years earlier with their son Johnthomas, then 18 months.
But it was only when they looked back through the snapshots two years later they noticed a faint black and white figure lurking in the images.
Spooky: Shona Backhouse from Wakefield posed for this photo during a trip with her family to the Castle Museum in York. Two years later she claims she saw this black and white image of a young girl in Victorian costume (bottom right), as her and her partner flicked back through the photos
Mr Burnside, 27, said: 'It's enough to make you paranoid. It gives me goose bumps every time I think about it.'
The couple decided to look through the photos after Mr Burnside found his old mobile phone memory card in his pyjama pocket.
It was only then that they spotted the ghostly figure.
Mr Burnside said: 'It was weird. I didn't notice anything at first, then I thought I was imagining it. So I asked Shona and she said 'Yes. It's a little girl.'
'When I phoned my mum she at first thought it might be a little girl that my sister lost, but my dad spotted that the girl in the picture was in Victorian dress.
'I don't like the idea of ghosts or anything like that. It gives me panic attacks.'
'Followed': John Burnside, pictured here with his 18-month-old son Johnthomas, found the memory card in his pyjama pocket two years after they visited the museum. He says he made out this ghostly image of a young girl when he looked back on the photos
There have been claims in the past at Castle Museum is haunted.
A crew filming an episode of Derek Acorah's Ghost Towns programme in 2006 insisted they had heard shrill voices and seen ghostly children running around.
Mr Burnside said: 'There was not a little girl like that on the day at the museum. It was pretty dead there to be honest all through the day. Anyway, it looks like you can see right through her.
'It is even more incredible when you think how many times those pyjamas have been through the wash with the memory card in the pocket.'
His partner Miss Backhouse, 25, who works in a tanning salon, said: 'It is like it was following us because it was in the last picture of me taken outside.
'It is really weird. I never noticed it until other day when we looked through the pictures.
'Funny feeling': Miss Backhouse told her partner that one of the rooms in the museum gave her 'goosebumps and shivers'. The couple claim the shadowy figure must have followed the family around the museum
'But I told John when was at the museum that I had funny feeling and didn't like it there.
'The room one of pics was taken in I wouldn't go inside. It gave me goosepimples and shivers.
'Our son was around 18 months' old at the time. I can't really remember if he sensed anything - but I know I didn't like it at all though.'
Museum officials said they had no idea who the figure in the photographs might be.
Meanwhile, there has been increasing popularity for apps to create or enhance peoples' own ghost photos, such as Ghost Capture.
The app's developers boast that users can 'choose from creepy Victorian children, faceless torsos, Civil War soldiers, ghostly orbs, and more'.
