Was A Giant Clam Shell Floating in The Mississippi River?

Morning anchors with KSTP News in Saint Paul were dumbfounded as one of their on-location cameras recently spotted what appeared to be an enormous clam shell floating in the Mississippi River.
“On Tuesday morning, while filming the rising Mississippi River running through Minneapolis, ABC affiliate KSTP’s cameras caught something peculiar: A gigantic clam shell.” In the video, one of the commentators also comments on a dark-colored area with a shape resembling a cat as the object turned in the wake of the river.
Additionally, an animal (possibly an otter, or even a large top-feeding fish) can be seen directly behind the enormous shell as it drifts along.
Was this some sort of a prop or decoration, or was an actual shell that once belonged to some kind of an anomalous–and very large–fresh water clam seen Tuesday morning?
As it turns out, the object was indeed a fabricated object, which as reported at PollStar.com this morning, had been carried away from a nearby playground as flooding in the area ensued:
“[T]he internet grew familiar with the flooding because of a giant clam that was dislodged from a playground at Harriet Island Park, and the local news coverage of the floating clamshell made the rounds,” the site reported today.
Oh well, so much for giant anomalous fresh water clams in the Mississippi River. In the meantime, we’ll continue hoping for proof of a secret weaponized alien Megalodon to finally surface.
